I think that we covered a lot of ground on many topics, and that packing much more into 2 days would've subtracted from what we were able to accomplish. We had about 80 attendees, and the smaller group sessions seemed to be better for lively discussion from all (versus larger discussions, where we heard from the few). We really did use the full hour for each discussion session, so shortening them to include more would not have been very effective. And the long break times at the beginning, during lunch, and providing a full 15 minutes between sessions was absolutely essential. There was a huge amount of networking, job and internship recruiting, and friendships made -- this element would've suffered if we took from that time. The one change we would probably make is to structure it more at the front end and remove any formal speakers from later sessions, making it more of a full two-day unconference and less of a a hybrid.

The feedback was amazing, and everyone was interested in doing this again next year. So, contingent on funding, you can have an opportunity to attend at that time!
